On 4/5/21 at 1400 hours, the site was turned over from New Town Fire Department back to North Segment. At this time, there is no further threat of Fire spreading from this site but Firefighters will occasionally check on the site as part of their protocols. NTVFD will stay in contact with North Segment and EOC regarding this incident and provide assistance as needed.
The Hawk Estates Building 2 Site has been fenced off. North Segment Security and TATLE will monitor the area. At this time no one is allowed onto the site.
The EOC will continue to oversee Volunteer and Donations Coordination in support of this incident response, which is now considered in the Recovery Phase.
On 4/5/21 North Segment, New Town Fire Department, and the EOC briefed on the current and future actions to be taken.
It was requested that the MHA EOC assist North Segment Staff with establishing a Hawk Estates Fire Recovery Team.
Initial Meeting for the Recovery Team was on 4/6/21. North Segment will be following up with more information once the team members are situated after today.
The purpose of the Recovery Team is to see to the Short Term and Long Term Needs of the affected Households such as Housing, Meals, Financial Assistance, Mental/Emotional Support Services, Locating Storage Spaces, Laundry Services, Transportation, etc.
As each individual and/or household needs may be different at varying times moving forward, they will tailor their support to meet their needs in the manner that best works for that that individual/household.
The EOC will remain in a Planning Support and Resource Sharing Role to the Recovery Team as long as needed.
Donations have poured in consistently since Sunday morning along with many Volunteers. Help has come from all over North Dakota in support of these affected Families. Please continue to keep them in your prayers during this difficult time as they move forward to rebuild.
